Water is the elixir of life. The body fluid is made up of about 60% of water which makes it essential to life.

Benefits of Drinking Water are:

When you are dehydrated, you feel tired, depleted and drained. Drinking plenty water helps to improve the heart to pump effectively. Water also helps your blood to transport oxygen and other essentials nutrients to your body cells.

When you are thirsty, it means you are already dehydrated and to help keep stress levels down, drink plenty water as it improves the body and state of mind.

When you are well hydrated, you can exercise longer. Drinking water helps prevent muscle cramps as well as lubricates joints in the body.

Water is nature's own beauty cream. Drinking water hydrates skin cells and plumps them up, making your face look younger. It also flushes out impurities and improves circulation and blood flow, thereby helping your skin glow, hair shinier and a healthier body.

If you're dehydrated, your body absorbs all the water, leaving your colon dry and making it more difficult to pass waste. Water is important for good digestion when added with fiber as it helps dissolve waste particles and passes them smoothly through your digestive tract. Drinking enough water prevents constipation as it reduces the burden on the kidneys and liver by helping to flush waste products.

The rate of painful kidney stones is rising at an alarming rate. One of the reasons could be because people -- including children -- aren't drinking enough water.
